Národní soutěž dospělého skotu charolais - Concours National Charolais Adultes - ve francouzském městě Sedan je prestižní každoroční událost pro chovatele tohoto plemene. Termín letošní akce, kterou pořádá Herd Book Charolais France, je 11. – 13. září 2026. Letošní rok chtějí organizátoři tradiční program doplnit o evropskou soutěž Charolais Challenge, kde bude každá země reprezentována týmem pěti zvířat. Cílem akce je prezentovat rozmanitost a kvalitu skotu plemene charolais v Evropě. Chcete se svými zvířaty zúčastnit soutěže? Kontaktujte nás nejpozději do 12. června 2026.

Jelikož se jedná o výstavu dospělého skotu, tak i výběr zahraničních zvířat do soutěže tomu musí odpovídat. Veškeré náklady spojené s účastí (včetně dopravy, ubytování a nákladů spojených se zvířaty) hradí v plné výši zúčastnění chovatelé. Organizátoři na akci nijak finančně nepřispívají a zříkají se i odpovědnost za škody, nehody a veterinární problémy. Právě veterinární oblast je klíčová pro úvahy nad účastí českého skotu na této akci. Organizátoři ale žádné veterinární podmínky nezaslali, na náš dotaz nás odkázali na organizaci GDS, které je obdobou naší Státní veterinární správy. Na základě komunikace s francouzskými veterináři připojujeme přesný přepis odpovědi, další informace by měly následovat:

We are currently writing an official health certificate in English, that I will send you once it is finalized, but here are the main requirements:

Herd status : free of bovine tuberculosis, brucellosis, enzootic bovine leucosis, IBR-IPV and BVD.

Test results for the animals taking part in the fair (blood samples must be collected 21 days within arrival at the fair) :
- A negative individual serological test result for besnoitiosis,
- A negative individual or pooled serological test result for IBR-IPV (total antibodies),
- A negative virological test result for BVD (PCR or ELISA).

From what I gathered on your country status regarding cattle diseases, most of this seems quite easily manageable, with the exception of BVD, since Czech Republic doesn't seem to have a national BVD eradication plan or free status recognized by the European Animal Health Law ; I am going to see how we can work with that. Do you maybe have a national plan, aside from EU, be it voluntary or compulsory?

Aside from the rules of the fair itself, your breeders will need to be mindful of the requirements for movements beween the countries.
In order to come to France, czech cattle seem to fulfil all health requirements by default.
In order to go back to Czech Republic, the main points of concern will be :

France is currently infected by BTV-8, while Czech Republic is free of it ; your authorities will probably require guarantees regarding this disease (for example, PCR within 14 days of the movement back to Czech Republic, and insecticide treatment).

Likewise, Czech Republic is free of IBR-IPV, while eradication is still ongoing in France. Therefore, there might be requirements upon return of the animals, like quarantine +/- a serological test. Your Veterinary Authorities are probably best informed.
